Brand Principle

Bold structure, simple surfaces, strong contrast, controlled motion.

Use structure to express trust. Use contrast to express clarity. Use red to express momentum.

Colour Usage Rules

Do

Use red to guide attention to key actions, active states, and progress moments.

Don't

Use red as a background colour or let it dominate the interface.

Do

Let charcoal and warm neutrals carry most of the interface. Keep contrast strong and readable.

Don't

Use multiple competing accent colours, rainbow UI, or excessive gradients.

Do

Treat accessibility contrast as a hard requirement on all text and interactive elements.

Don't

Use light red text on light backgrounds or low-contrast neutral combinations.

Logo

The Bitir logo combines the ribbon emblem with the Inter Bold wordmark. Use the standard version on light backgrounds and the dark version on dark backgrounds.

Clear Space

Logo with clearspace

Maintain a minimum clear space around the logo equal to the height of the "B" in the wordmark. Do not place other elements inside this zone.

Logo Usage Rules

Do

Use the provided SVG files at any size. The logo scales cleanly.

Don't

Alter the logo colours, stretch it, add effects, or rearrange the emblem and wordmark.

Do

Use the dark version on charcoal or dark backgrounds for legibility.

Don't

Place the standard logo on dark backgrounds or the dark logo on light backgrounds.

Typography

Inter is the sole typeface across product and marketing. Clean, legible, modern, and excellent for both UI and headlines. Available free from Google Fonts.

Writing Rules

Do

Use short, direct sentences. Lead with the action or benefit. "Set a goal for your group."

Don't

Use jargon, buzzwords, or vague language. "Leverage our synergistic platform to drive outcomes."

Do

Address people directly. "You", "your group", "your members". Be specific about what the product does.

Don't

Sound playful, childish, or overly casual. No emojis in product copy, no exclamation marks in headers.

Do

Respect the user's intelligence. Explain features in one clear sentence, not three fluffy ones.

Don't

Make unsubstantiated claims. Don't invent statistics or use superlatives like "the best" or "the fastest".

UI Principles

The interface mood: quiet surface, strong structure, visible momentum.

Structure

Use cards, stacked modules, and grouped information blocks. Layouts should feel aligned, measured, and intentionally framed.

Hierarchy

Strong distinction between primary and secondary elements. Purposeful spacing. Minimal decoration.

Motion

Quick, smooth, purposeful, restrained. Cards settling into place, toggles responding immediately. No bounce or gamification.

Icons

Clean line icons with enough weight for mobile. Geometric but not rigid. Filled variants for selected/active states only.
